I DID IT!
I've finished my fourth novel. It's a non-vampirey romantic comedy. I know, forgive me, I have neglected my paranormal romance roots. I'm really happy with how the book turned out and I just sent it to my agent. I'm a little nervous about whether she'll like it or not. It's sort of strange not to go through the query process, trying to find an agent for the book, writing letters, checking my emails constantly for responses (read: rejections.) I miss it, a little bit. Of course, my friend, B, is going through the agent search process right now and thinks I'm nuts.
Emailing the book off to Stephany feelss a little like sending your kids off to college. I left one job and started another while I wrote this book. I wrote most of it while I was pregnant or on maternity leave with my newborn son. So if it gets published, I don't think I'll be able to read it without remembering his little body snuggled up against me while I typed the final chapters.
So it's a bittersweet day. But mostly awesome.
