UNDEAD IN MY BED Giveaway with Jessica Sims!

We're only a week away from the release of the anthology THE UNDEAD IN MY BED! If you love snarky paranormal romance, this book will be a triple-treat.

Katie MacAlister conjures supernatural sparks in Shades of Gray
A TV crew is filming a paranormal reality show on the grounds of an imposing old Czech Republic estate. But the electric passion behind the camera is what’s out of this world. When Noelle, a Guardian, meets vampire Grayson, who has roamed for three centuries, she awakens an aching hunger in him that only her touch can relieve. . . .

Molly Harper cooks up laughter and thrills in Undead Sublet

After overworked Chicago chef Tess flips out (can everyone hear that arugula talking, or is it just me?), she rents a quiet house in Half-Moon Hollow for a month of R & R. But when she finds the place occupied by a drop-dead gorgeous vampire, Tess’s tastes—for comfort food, for small Kentucky towns, and for her irresistible lover—become nearly insatiable!

Jessica Sims excites the senses in Out with a Fang

When lonely were-jaguar Ruby consults a paranormal matchmaker, she hopes to finally move on from a heart-wrenching breakup with her one true love, a forbidden human. Nervously agreeing to a blindfolded first date with a vampire, she finds the spicy scent of him intoxicating, his voice low, sexy, and so very familiar. . . .

To introduce readers to the anthology Jessica Sim (also known as Jill Myles) and I decided to host a little Q&A and giveaway.  After a shocking number of emails, we picked the least scandalous of our proposed questions and answered them below.

Molly: What was the inspiration for your novella?
Jessica: Awkward blind dates. Literally. I wanted to do something with a TRULY blind, truly awkward first date, so I brainstormed until the perfect situation hit me. It just happened to involve a vampire and a were-jaguar (two great things that go great together).

Molly: If you could change anything about traditional vampire lore, what would it be?
Jessica: That whole 'undead' thing. Kinda gross if you think about it. Necrophilia, yay?

Molly: What is the most difficult part of writing "shorter?"
Jessica: I think it's finding the perfect story. One that won't feel too short at 25k and won't end up turning into a 90k novel somewhere along the way. You have to consider everything - the characters, the plot, the setting, etc - and measure carefully.

Molly: What is the first vampire story (be it book, movie, Tv, etc.) you remember enjoying?
Jessica: I remember being revolted/fascinated/bizarred out by Coppola's Dracula. It was so tawdry and yet awesome. I'm pretty sure I saw/read Dracula stories before that one but there are some scenes in that movie that are totally burned into my brains. Like the garden scene. Um.

Molly: Oddly enough, we had the same answer for that question.

Molly: What book or DVD do you keep hidden for fear that someone might find out you enjoyed it so much that you bought it?
Jessica: I don't hide my DVD collection! I proudly display my TWO copies of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Mannequin, and Meet Me In St. Louis. They're all pretty epic. Especially Robin Hood. He's so epic I had to buy him twice (just to compare DVD versions).
